Dodhpathri
Doodhpathri, translated as Valley of Milk, is a beguiling tourist destination and a hill station nestled in Khansahib tehsil of Budgam district in Jammu and Kashmir, India. Named due to a legend that a saint once sprinkled milk on its lush pastures, the heavenly glade is now flocked by tourists seeking serene beauty, tranquillity, and a touch of folklore. It is referred to as the “Valley of Milk” because of the quaint milky-white look it gives when at peak bloom.
Being one of the lesser-known destinations in Kashmir, Doodhpathri had initially been off the radar for most tourists. However, with its exponential natural splendour and peace, it is gradually gaining popularity as an exceptional tourist hotspot. The region resonated with calm and eloquence as if whispering raw tales of the uncharted lands of Jammu and Kashmir to its visitors.
